Jujutsu Kaisen follows the story of high schooler Yuuji Itadori, who spends his days idly participating in paranormal activities with the Occult Club and visiting his sickly grandfather in the hospital. However, his peaceful life takes a dark turn when he unknowingly comes into possession of a cursed object—a powerful artifact that triggers a series of supernatural events. This object turns out to be a finger of Sukuna Ryoumen, the King of Curses, a fearsome demon.

In a desperate attempt to save his friends from a deadly curse, Yuuji swallows the finger, becoming the vessel for Sukuna and gaining extraordinary powers. Now, Yuuji is thrust into the terrifying world of Curses—monstrous entities born from human malice and negative emotions. He soon discovers the immense threat these Curses pose to humanity.

Yuuji is introduced to the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, where he begins training as a Jujutsu sorcerer. Guided by powerful mentors and driven by a sense of responsibility, Yuuji embarks on a dangerous journey to combat Curses and learn to control the malevolent force inside him, all while facing the consequences of his fateful decision.
