Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a young man robbed of a normal life due to his father’s crushing debt, which forces him to work for the yakuza. His only friend is Pochita, a chainsaw devil, who helps him hunt devils to pay off the never-ending debt. Denji dreams of a simple life filled with good food and a girlfriend, but his hopes are shattered when the yakuza betray and kill him.

However, thanks to a contract he made with Pochita, Denji is resurrected as a hybrid, gaining the ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws. Now possessing terrifying powers, Denji becomes a target for the Public Safety Bureau, and elite devil hunter Makima takes him under her control. She promises him a chance at the life he’s always dreamed of, as long as he follows her orders. Driven by the hope of achieving his simple, naive desires, Denji fights ferociously, using his newfound powers to navigate a world filled with danger, devils, and betrayal.
