Raimon Middle School’s soccer club, Inazuma Eleven, is on the verge of being disbanded while other schools in Japan strive for the title of the best soccer team. Mamoru Endou, the energetic grandson of the club’s legendary first-generation goalkeeper and captain, takes on the challenge of reviving the once-great team. To bring the neglected club back to life, Mamoru needs not only luck but also a lot of determination.

His hope lies in Shuuya Gouenji, a brilliant soccer player who has given up on the sport. Mamoru is determined to convince Shuuya and other skilled players to join the struggling team.
