Hunter x Hunter follows the journey of Gon Freecss, a 12-year-old boy determined to become a Hunter in order to find his father, Ging, a legendary Hunter who left him at a young age. Hunters are elite individuals tasked with dangerous and adventurous missions, ranging from exploring uncharted territories to hunting down rare creatures and artifacts. However, before one can become a Hunter, they must first pass the Hunter Examination, a deadly and grueling test that leaves most participants either severely injured or dead.

Gon, driven by the hope of meeting his father, enters the examination and soon befriends three other participants: Leorio Paladiknight, a medical student; Kurapika, the last surviving member of the Kurta Clan who seeks revenge; and Killua Zoldyck, a skilled former assassin. Despite their different motivations, the four form a strong bond as they navigate the treacherous challenges of the Hunter Examination and beyond, venturing into a perilous world filled with danger, mystery, and excitement.
